Thanks so much for responding! I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. I welcome comments on the blog posts, and I found the comment option below the posts. I don’t want comments on the static pages ( price, schedule, home page). From the pages menu, how can I disable comments? Also, I’m nervous about publishing my email address. Can I use a comment box on the “contact me” page to serve that purpose?

Follow these instructions:

Let me know if you have any trouble.
Can I use a comment box on the “contact me” page to serve that purpose?
A contact form would be a far better choice in my opinion:

These were the instructions I’ve been trying to follow. I saw the discussion box on the Posts menu item, but I sure can’t find that discussion box on the Pages menu item.
I clicked on the title of the page, clicked settings, clicked discussion. A long screen appears with these headings : default article settings, other comment settings, email me whenever, before a comment appears, etc.
On this screen, what do I do to remove the comment box from the page? Thanks for your help! -
You know what might be easier would be to use the bulk editing feature to turn them all off:

See if that works better for you.

YOU ROCK!!! I have spent hours trying to figure this out. You hit “apply” in order to get the right menu to appear! I never tried that, because I thought “apply” meant update. Thanks so much!

Don’t worry, I don’t use that function much and was afraid to do it on your blog, so I had to check on my test blog first!
Maybe I should look into changing the wording there…
In any case, glad that it got sorted out. Thanks for the kind words.
