Disable Comments – Canadian Account Won’t Allow me to do so??

    Hello, I’ve tried several times to remove my comments ability on each of my posts on the the backend of my wordpress account, but it simply does not have the features to do so. Why? I even watched this video from beginning to end to remove the comments feature on my site. What did work was to disable all comments for future new posts, but not for my old post. Is there a way you can shut of my comments for me for all my old posts?

    I am getting spammed allot on all my old posts through the comments section that has been enabled, but your system is not giving me any ability to shut it off like in this linked video provided showing me how to do as in the video time stamped at 58 seconds into the video.     I could really use some help with this so I don’t get any more spam on my pages or posts via my comments enabled section. thx
