discrepancy between receipt and payment

    Hello. I am an administrator for seachangesociety.com. We used my credit card to pay for the domain name last November (2013).

    The receipt issued on Nov 19, 2014 (sent to my boss at (email visible only to moderators and staff)) was for $26.00, but $30.25 came off my credit card. Can you explain the discrepancy?

    Hi there,

    The receipt and domain price of $26.00 is listed in USD. Did you pay with a US credit card? If you used a credit card in another currency your credit card company would need to convert the USD price into your local currency, which would explain the difference.
