Discussion Settings & Blog Roll

  1) When I look at Discussion Settings I do not see how to turn comments off completely. What am I doing wrong?

  2) How do I get that Blog Roll menu off the right side of my page?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  1) When I look at Discussion Settings I do not see how to turn comments off completely. What am I doing wrong?

  You have your Discussion Settings set up correctly, so that when you create new posts and pages the comments are turned off. However, those settings won’t change the comments on posts and pages you’ve already published.

  You can disable comments on already published pages by going to Pages > All Pages in your dashboard. You can either change the comment settings on each page, one-by-one, or you can bulk edit your pages to disable comments on all of them at once.   2) How do I get that Blog Roll menu off the right side of my page?

  That Blog Roll menu is a widget, and you can remove it by going to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard. The Blog Roll is created with the Links widget. You can click on the Links widget to open the widget settings, and then click the Delete link to get rid of it.
