Displaying a "featured image" on the homepage, but not on the article page

    Hi!
Is it possible to delete the featured image from the actual article page, but still have it feature off the homepage? I ask this because the image is showing up extra-huge at the top of the article page when I mark it as the “featured image,” and I can’t find a way to delete it (or shrink it down, for that matter, which would be OK too). Thank you! (PS, I am using the free “UNTITLED” theme.)

    Hi there,

I see what you’re saying about the Featured Image showing up in the header. After reading through the theme’s support guide, I found that that was designed into the theme that way. You can read that guide here:

    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/untitled/

Unfortunately, I can’t figure out a good way to shrink that without breaking it on mobile/tablet views. I can only recommend getting rid of the featured image, but that would not feature the image on the homepage.

It might be better to switch to a different theme if this is a big problem for you.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Thanks so much for your reply Grace! If I buy the $30 CSS customization upgrade, would that allow me to change that on the article page? If not, I will find a new theme. Thank you!

Technically you can. But, the amount of work you would need to change the entire layout of the site wouldn’t be worth it in my opinion. I think you’d be much better off with a new theme because essentially you’d be trying to change the main layout of the theme.

    I hope this helps!
