Displaying Author names in Posts

  I’m using the WordPress Default theme (1.6) by Michael Heilemann. The author names are not displaying when anything is posted. I’ve looked in the settings to see if this option is enabled/disable. Unfortunately, I cannot find where this is still an option. Does this theme support this?

  I actually figured it out. I just needed to add:

  <?php the_author() ?>
