Displaying Text

I’m using the Cols theme for my website “theo’s acrostics”, and I’m having trouble displaying text. I can’t seem to control when text flows to the second column; I’d like to display more text in the first (left hand) column.

    Can you help?

    Thanks so much!

    The Cols theme guide says,

Standard-format posts are displayed in a newspaper-like layout, with three columns on large monitors, two columns on medium-sized displays, and a one-column layout on small screens like phones. Other supported post formats — Aside, Image, Video, Quote, Link, and Chat — are displayed in a simple single-column layout.

Which format(s) are you using when you encounter the issue you describe?

    Correction:
It looks like you’re referring to the two column on pages, such as on your About, and Archives pages? Is that correct?

That is correct. Is there a way to expand how much text is in the first column before it flows to the 2nd? Currently the first column doesn’t allow for very much.

Whether page content displays in one or two columns with this theme appears to be dependent upon the monitor size, and zoom and screen resolution settings of the visitor. I can change it from one to the other by modifying either the zoom, screen resolution, or both on my 12″ X9″ monitor.

I don’t know. You may call for staff attention by adding a “modlook” tag in the right sidebar here.

    Ok thanks for your help!

That is quite strange, I’ll admit. The About page has a very short first column when it displays as two columns, and the two columns are of nearly equal length because of the large title. This suggested to me that perhaps the theme automatically attempts to display two columns of approximately equal length. However, that is not the case with this page: https://tedsacrostics.wordpress.com/archives/.
