DKIM for WordPress google apps combo

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a wordpress blog (reformwcc.info) which i use in association with google apps for email.

Someone is using my domain name to send spam email.

I learn about this by email bounces. For example:

from: (email address deleted – BR) via reformwcc.info
to: Get Vigara-Today <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>
date: Sun, Aug 19, 2012 at 10:17 AM
subject: Out of Office: [SPAM:XXXXXXXXXX] PMXBL SALE!
    mailed-by: reformwcc.info

I am advised “Ask WordPress.com if they support DKIM on domains hosted on their DNS, as you have been advised it will reduce fraudulent use of your domain name on spam.”

I gather my support person tried to deal with this in 2011 but the DNS entry code required by google apps was too long for the space provided by WordPress (as i see also from the forum, which also mention the problem may be fixed at some stage).

Any advice or pointers in the right direction?

I think you just have to fall back on the common email spoofing resources.

    Thanks Raincoaster.

Very frustrating that this misuse of a domain name is possible.
