DNS needs to be updated
-
My blog isn’t working. When I navigate to the blog, I get the message: “Please wait while we redirect you to the WonderBlog. If you are not taken there automatically, you can click here.” The re-direct never happens. When I looked in settings, I saw a message in red that my DNS needs to be updated, but no instructions for how to do this. Please let me know how I update my DNS.
Thanks!

Hi Nicole,
Your subdomain blogs.openwonderland.org isn’t pointed directly to WordPress.com, which is why it doesn’t take visitors directly to your site here. You can follow our Instructions for Mapping Subdomains to update your DNS so it points directly to your site.
The main thing you’ll need to do is add a CNAME record like this to your domain:
blogs.openwonderland.org. IN CNAME wonderlandvw.wordpress.com.
You’ll need to add that record at the domain registrar where your domain openwonderland.org is registered. The exact steps for adding that CNAME record depend on your registrar, and if you have questions about that process your registrar can help with that.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

Rachel, I appreciate your quick and detailed reply. Unfortunately the CNAME record is not the problem. It’s set properly. There seem to be bigger problems with our domain service as I’ve discovered a number of other things that are no longer working. But I appreciate your help in pointing me to the source of the issue. I’ll have to work though the problem with the domain provider and hopefully get the blog up and running again soon. Thanks for your help!
