DNS not found

    Hello,
    I transferred my domain to squarespace in July 2016. As of just recent, when you log onto my website, http://www.maintainbeautybar.com, it says the DNS is not found. Additionally, my (email visible only to moderators and staff) email is not working. I have contacted Squarespace and they are saying that the domain is still belonging to you. When I try to transfer again (from wordpress to squarespace) it says it’s already been transferred. Can you please look into this issue and let me know what you see and what needs to be done?

    Hi there,

    I transferred my domain to squarespace in July 2016.

    maintainbeautybar.com wasn’t transferred to Squarespace. It uses custom A records to point it at a Squarespace site. This means the domain is still registered through WordPress.com.

    I have contacted Squarespace and they are saying that the domain is still belonging to you.

    Yes, that’s correct. maintainbeautybar.com expired on 2017-02-21 and is currently in the redemption period:

    Domain Expiration

    We can try to recover the domain for you but there will be an $80 redemption fee in addition to the domain cost ($18). If you would like to try and recover it, I can generate a payment request for that amount and contact our domain registrar once it has been paid.

    If you do not want to pay the fee, you can wait until the domain is released but you may not be able to get it back if it is purchased at auction during this time.

    Once the domain has been restored to your account, it can be transferred to Squarespace.
