  Is there a way to add subdomain to my free wordpress site? Thanks in advance.

  Sure, a subdomain can be mapped to your site with these steps:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

  I don’t see any of the DNS records if I were to follow the instructions with the title…

  When you want to point your subdomain to an external site (your domain is registered or mapped to WordPress.com)

  First, you need to already have a registered domain and then by upgrading to one of our plans, you’ll be able to map a subdomain.
