Hi there – it sounds like you’ll need to contact your domain registrar to ask why their system won’t accept the WordPress.com name servers, since this appears to be an issue at their end. Please let me know how it goes.
Some registrars require IP addresses in addition to name servers – let me know if this is the case with Overblog.

Could you perhaps tell me exactly where you’re trying to add these DNS records? Just to be clear, you need to add these name servers in your domain registrar’s control panel – not at WordPress.com. What is the link to the page where you’re trying to add these records?
Your domain registrar appears to be:
reseller-name: JFG Networks / OverBlog
reseller-url: http://www.over-blog.com/
reseller-email: (email visible only to moderators and staff) -
Thank you
1 – I’m in the “myextensions” page,
https://ericriesling.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
there appear the 3 blogs that i have already buy.
2 – the main blog name eric-riesling.com is the one include in the “premium”
3 – “domain settings”
4 – another page opens with the domain name, the type of subscription, and on the right “change dns” . so i do
5 – a new window opens “Paramètres DNS Personnalisés” (personnalized dns settings) where a form allows me to put in dns names . the page tells me that my current dns are
MX 10 mx1.premium.jfg-networks.net.
MX 30 mx2.premium.jfg-networks.net.and that i just have to enter the three wordpress dns
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM et NS2.WORDPRESS.COMso i do
6 – a red underwindow appears and tells me that NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM are not valid dns servers.
i already wrote to the former registrar but my subscription with overblog network is already stopped and my domain free to be reused.
ty very much for you help

Thanks for the information. That’s not the page where you need to add the WordPress name servers. The name servers need to be added at your domain registrar, which is not WordPress.com
Please keep in mind that WordPress.com cannot accept incoming domain transfers, so you’ll need to transfer your domain to a new registrar before it can be mapped to your WordPress.com site. Letting a domain expire does not guarantee that it will be available to re-register again – that’s up to the discretion of your old registrar. You could wait a while and see if it becomes available again, or you might want to think about registering a new domain.
Let me know if you need further help!

thank you for YOUR help
1 – overblog does nto allow to change registrar before cancalling the subscription …
2 – please note that what i described came from a window (french support) especially for domain names coming from another network ! could you tell your colleagues that the named page IS UNCORRECT because it’s impossible to update the DNS ! because i was in the page that talks about changing dns from a DOMAIN COMING FROM ANOTHER NETWORK; IT IS URGENT TO CORRECT THE PAGE for all the other people like me. thanks for them.
So well i just have to wait…
Ty very much

We do allow many DNS customizations through either our Custom DNS editor and advanced domain manager, but we don’t accept incoming domain transfers.
If there is wording somewhere – in either English or French – which makes it sound like we do accept incoming transfers, could you please point me to it so we can have a look? You could copy-paste the specific confusing wording here if you like. (Je parle français aussi.) Merci bien!
