Do Blog Followers Get Emailed every time I update?

Will a follower of my blog who has signed up for email notifications receive an email every time I “Update” an already published page? Or just when a “new” page is “published”?
Your Help sections says the following: “Followers are users who sign up to follow your blog and each time you publish new content on your blog, they receive an update, either on their Reader tab or via email (or both, depending on their settings).”
Does “new” content include updates, i.e. revisions to an exising page I’ve created? What if I”m editing often and using the “UPdate” button to save my changes? I don’t want them to get incessant emails. Thanks.

Email Subscribers only receive an email when a Post is published – you can make as many updates to a published Post as you want and they are never notified

Thanks. Do they also receive an email when a new Page is published? I am new to this, and treating it like a website more than a blog.

No, Pages are for static info like bio, location, etc. They are not for dynamic or timely info.
