Do I need website hosting from GoDaddy to assign my url?

  Hi. I have a url and web hosting with Go Daddy. I got the hosting because it sounded like it would be easy to transfer bugtusslefarm.wordpress.com over to bugtusslefarm.com through their wordpress hosting plan. Unfortunately, I can’t get my theme to move over (MistyLook), it is not available through Go Daddy, and it is turning into a nightmare trying to recreate what I already created and like. If I just add the domain bugtusslefarm.com to my blog, will that work or must I host with Go Daddy? I don’t really care what the solution is, I just would like to have my blog look as it does currently at bugtusslefarm.wordpress.com, but be reached by the bugtusslefarm.com url. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Hannah

  You can map your existing domain to your WordPress.com blog following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  That will work for what you need, and you won’t need the hosting account.
