Do link URL's have a length limit

  When I paste a URL into a new (side bar Link) , it appears it cuts off most of the link. The result is the user lands on a page to search for homes. This is only part of what they should get.

  The link is quite long. The first version below is what I want, and the second version is where wordpress.com cuts it off.

  There is no known character limit on links, but the search link is including what appear to be false HTML tags, so these are filtered out for security purposes.
