Do we still need stripe/others for woocommerce ?

    Hello there o/,

    been looking for that info for actually 6 hours now without finding it.

    In a video from 2019 someone mentionned that we could connect woocommerce with stripe or paypal as payment platform for now but in the future wordpress would provide a feature allowing us to not need these payment platform to make the transfer “client payment -> professionnal bank” (so this was a claim from 2yrs ago).

    Because right now, if I understand well, u take a subscription for the wordpress environment, one for professionnal bank account and a last one for the payment platform linking the 2 previous, right.

    Since I would need to take a 300€ forfeit just to verify how it works, I’m asking u guys here if u have any info !

    Hi there,

    You can connect WooCommerce with any payment processor by using an extension. For example, there are extensions for both PayPal and Stripe:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/stripe/

    https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-paypal-payments/

    So this means that you have to pay WordPress.com for the hosting (Business plan), and then pay the fees that each service (PayPal, Stripe, etc.) has. We don’t take a cut as we’re only the hosting provider.
