Do you have a better example of someone using the Currents theme?

Do you have any other examples of blogs using the Currents theme? The one shown is both protected and has a modified header (or maybe that’s a sticky post without any others in queue?)

I love the idea of multiple content areas for my teaching blog since I teach three different classes, but that slider dominates the screen. I’d love to see at least one with and one without.

p.s., I know there are other themes with smaller slider areas, but the college is allowing phones and tablets for online work come fall, so responsive width is a requirement for my switch.

Please review this page to learn more about the features of the Currents theme. The demo can be seen over here.

Feel free to contact us if you get stuck with one of the theme’s features.

While I know you must start on the assumption that these two pages might not yet have been viewed, I wouldn’t have known Taiwana is such a terrible example to cite as someone using the theme if I hadn’t been on the first page. As for the demo, It contains the slider. I had hoped someone could point me to a WP blog that doesn’t.

Often there are people who leave comments like “I switched immediately!” in the blog announcements of new themes, but that was not the case for Currents. I tried using ‘Currents” as a search term in support, in Forums, and (despite knowing better) even in tags, with no success.

Demos are helpful, and I mean that sincerely, but they are a pastiche of tiny pretend posts. Seeing a cohesive sets of posts from a working blog more strongly conveys how a theme looks and works. It’s why I was hoping you could point me to something more than a locked blog.

There are key features in Currents I know I’ll like, so I’ll just go ahead and buy it. After next week, anyone stumbling onto this exchange will know where to find an example that won’t be protected.

  • Unfortunately that’s really all we have to showcase at this time. We don’t directly track theme usage.
