Does advertising cost anything (I'm sure it does)?
-
I’m not clear on whether ecommerce costs anything. Is there a way to have a monthly subscription if you have to pay to have advertisements on you site? I did see two subscriptions, one for 500.00 per year and one for 299.00 per year.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Blogger-initiated ads are banned here unless you’re in the $30,000 a year VIP program.
Ecommerce and ads are different. Did you want to sell stuff, or did you want to advertise?

Absolutely not. Here’s what gets a blog suspended:

http://en.wordpress.com/tos/No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.com blogs. The only blogs that can be equipped for ecommerce are those with the $299. per year business upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/
The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

There are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. Please see this guide to learn about the differences.

If you intend to make money with this, you need to do a great deal more research. You don’t know what you want to do, you don’t know what you want to do it with, and you don’t know how to do it. If I were you I would put aside the idea of entering the commercial blogging industry for now and just learn how to use a blog.
