Does Akismet block spam from 'contact' form?

  As my title says, I need to know if Akismet blocks spam from the page ‘contact’ form, or is it just in comments. I need to add the contact form but I don’t want my email account filled up with thousands of spam, especially as I only check it once a week. Thanks

  Hi there, yes, submissions via the WordPress.com Contact Form are run through our Akismet spam filtering system.
