does deleting a site make the domain available?

  Hi, I am back using WordPress! I have a site bobzob.wordpress.com which I would like to delete
  The site I’m working on davidatbobzob.wordpress.com I would like to change the domain to bobzob.wordpress.com, is this possible once I have deleted bobzob.wordpress.com

  Hi,

  Do not delete a site if you wish to use the same address. Instead, remove all content as explained here, and either start fresh or import the content from the other blog you have been working on:

  https://wordpress.com/support/import.

  If you delete a site, the address will not be available to use never again.
