Does the Business plan include hosting?

    I am trying to figure out the best option for my website. I need to create a website with a custom template and I need access to the FTP. Do I need to purchase the business plan and a hosting plan? Or, does the business plan include hosting as well?

    Do I need to purchase the business plan and a hosting plan?

    Hosting is included in all of our plans, so there is no need to purchase separate hosting for a WordPress.com site. The amount of storage space varies depending on which plan you choose, but the Business plan includes unlimited space.

    I need to create a website with a custom template

    Depending on which plan you choose, there a are a couple of options when it comes to themes:

    1. Sites using the Free, Personal or Premium plan can activate themes from our theme showcase.
    2. Installing third party themes is only supported on the Business plan.

    and I need access to the FTP

    For security reasons, none of our plans include FTP access. If FTP access is important, you may want to look at the self hosted version of WordPress, WordPress.org. The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are explained here:
