Does upgrading to a unique domain address interrupt Twitter posting?
-
Since upgrading to my own unique domain, my posts no longer automatically post to Twitter. I’ve disconnected/reconnected multiple times with the provided Support help. The only solution I’ve found is using the main Dashboard > Posts section, and manually checking Twitter under the publicize section.
Bummer, considering I just paid for an “upgrade”. I feel my previous posts have posted fine through the numerous “quick post” buttons or drop downs around the site, as well as posting with my mobile device.

That shouldn’t actually affect it, but please make sure that you try the full reconnect procedure listed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-twitter
There’s just a little but more involved than flipping the (dis)connect switch.

Macmanx,
Thanks for your reply. I went back step by step to recreate my issue.
I’m using Safari 5.1.5 – The solution to clear Safari’s cookies is a bit dated through the Support link, as well as the directions on Google’s support page (Safari 3.x)
The location of the Cookie settings is in Preferences > Privacy.
Here I was able to clear my cookies. Went ahead and “Reset Safari” as well. Logged back into WP, then went to my WP Admin Panel > Settings > Sharing and reconnected Twitter.
Then under Posts > Add Post, Twitter is already checked under Publicize to the right. Publishing now posts correctly to Twitter.
Although, when posting with the quick “New Post” in the upper WP toolbar, I’m unable to select any Publicize options, and the Post is unshared to Twitter.
Selecting “Edit” for this unshared post brings me to the Admin > Posts section. Looking at the Publicize section to the right displays Twitter UNCHECKED. When checking Twitter’s box and Updating this post, it is now shared to Twitter.
Unless this is the intended functionality, I’d say it’s a bit strange.
Thanks again…
