  Hi @dave1917, custom domains (those without .wordpress.com in them) are not free, but you can get them with any paid plan:

  http://wordpress.com/plans

  If you need to change your free address, you can do that too. Be sure to keep the old address rather than deactivating it if you might ever want to use it again:
