    I canceled my plan, which included a custom domain: theswampgator.com and I’m trying to get the domain on a different server, but it says it’s taken.

    Hi there,

    Canceled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a canceled domain becomes available again, if at all. It’s always possible to point and later transfer a domain to another provider. It’s not always possible to get a domain back once canceled.

    Fortunately, I was able to restore your domain. For now, you have to keep it with us and point it to a site that’s hosted elsewhere by changing its DNS settings. You can find instructions on how to do that here:

    After the 60-day transfer lock (April 24, 2022), you’ll be able to transfer the domain to a different provider.
