  I recently deleted my wordpress.com site which included my expired custom domain thezenadventuress.com. I now want to use the same domain on a wordpress.org and it is not yet released. Just want to know when this will become available again :)

  Hi @thezenadventuress, they can take quite a while to release actually – a month or more. Cancelling does not release the domain. It returns it it to the registrar.

  If you’d like, we can try to get the domain back for you so you can point it to the new host or transfer it to another registrar. Sometimes there’s a redemption fee associated, but we can try. Let us know.
