    I recently closed down my account with bluest, who ‘released’ my domain name. However when I try to purchase it through wordpress it’s still saying it’s owned. Is there anyway to clarify this issue?

    When a domain is canceled with a registrar, it can take a few weeks for it to be released into the pool of available domains. There is nothing on our end that we can do to speed this up. You might ask bluehost if there is anything on their end they can do, but you may just need to wait until it is released.
