    Hi, I tried to connect my domain to wordpress from Ionos and this is the message I got from them ‘You have successfully connected your domain to WordPress.com’ but it says I have to pay £84 to connect it – can i not do this for free

    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there,

    It is possible to set up a free site on WordPress.com but it must use the provided “WordPress.com” address. If you wish to have a custom address for your site you can do that by purchasing any of the plans below, which all include a custom domain option.
