  Hello. I own a domain URL from goDaddy and I wanted to know if I wanted to link my domain to my WordPress do I need to upgrade my plan from free?

  Hi there,

  In order to connect your domain to WordPress.com, you must purchase a mapping subscription that is a part of a plan: http://wordpress.com/plan

  To use your domain hosted elsewhere with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need to change the domain nameservers at your domain host, and point them over to WordPress.com. Our nameservers are:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Then, you’ll need to purchase the mapping subscription upgrade so that you can map your domain over to your WordPress.com site.
