Domain

    Dear Mr/Mrs
Can you please advice me on the following?
I find WordPress to be hard to use, and I want to change to another platform. But I bought a domain through WordPress and it’s very important that domain stays the same.
How can I delete it and get it again?
Or can I transfer it to the different platform?
    Please help me
    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi bluevelvetclinic,

Cancelling a domain means you are giving up ownership of it. We don’t recommend cancelling a domain you plan to use again in the future as there is no guarantee you will be able to get it back again.

I can restore the domain to your site and you will be able to transfer it 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.

Until then, the domain can be pointed towards your new site.

I find WordPress to be hard to use, and I want to change to another platform.

If you want some help with your site, I’d be happy to work through it with you.

Please let me know whether you would like to restore the domain, as soon as you can.

    Thanks!

    Dear Mrs,

I would like to transfer it to FATCOW , I already asked them , they replied that I should ask you to change the nameservers of the domain name to ns1.fatcow.com and ns2.fatcow.com .

    Is that Possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi bluevelvetclinic,

they replied that I should ask you to change the nameservers of the domain name to ns1.fatcow.com and ns2.fatcow.com

When a domain is cancelled quickly after registration, we only have short time to recover it. Due to the length of time that has passed, your domain has now been cancelled and released back into the pool of available domains.

If you want to use that domain you will need to register it again — this can be done using any company you like, including FatCow.

Come back to me if you have any questions.
