Hi there!
I’m sorry to hear that you found building your site on WordPress.com difficult. I can relate to that feeling, as I found it a bit difficult when I got started as well. I can assure you, though, it gets very easy, almost like second nature, over time the more you use it.
That initial getting set up and building the site can feel overwhelming, and I’m happy to tell you that we’re here to help you with that!
Would you mind telling us a little bit about the site you’re building? What’s the site for, and what features do you need on the site? You can be as detailed as you want. Once we know more about the site you want to build, we can help you with specific guides and videos that I’m sure will make it a lot easier to build the site on WordPress.com.
(As a side note, if you’d like us to build the site for you, you can check out this service we offer. This is totally optional, by the way. I just wanted to share this with you in case you found it helpful. :) )
As for the domain, it can take about a week for it to be released into the market. At that point, anyone can register it again. So there’s no guarantee that you’ll be the first person to get it back. But you can restore the domain with us if you’d like. We can restore it for you once you’ve upgraded to a paid plan again (or we can send you a manual payment request just for the domain.).
But of course, we’d love to learn more about your site. If you’re willing to give us another try, you can then upgrade, and we’ll restore the domain for you. :)
