  Hello,

  I recently cancelled my account as I literally have no idea what I am doing and would rather use a drag and drop site. I would like to recover the domain name so that I can purchase it separately? It this possible as it is still unavailable when I try to find it.

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. Only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.

  In this case your domain should be released again by the end of next week, at which point you’ll be able to register it somewhere else.

  Otherwise, please reply to the account closure email we sent you so we can reverse the account closure and restore the domain to your account. We cannot help with this via the public forums.
