You purchased that domain here at WordPress.com a few weeks ago. How soon after creating it did you cancel it? If you cancel within a couple of days the domain is usually released for you/someone else to purchase it elsewhere. If you cancelled the domain after a few weeks then that may not be the case. You no longer own that domain…..WordPress.com does. I have added a modlook tag to ask if a member of staff could reply to you.

Hi there,
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. You should only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.
In this case, lucahawryluk.com will not be released for use elsewhere until after it expires in September 2019. If you still want to use it I can still restore it to your account. Then we can help you point it to another hosting provider, and once you’ve owned it for 60 days you can transfer it away from us if you prefer. But we have no way to manually release the domain so you can register it as a new domain somewhere else.
In order for you to be able to manage the domain it needs to be connected to a WordPress.com site, so if we should restore it, please create a new free site in your account and let us know once you’ve done so. Then we can reactivate your domain.
