  I’ve domain with go daddy but I want to build a website on word press. I need help whether to transfer or to map? also I’m not comfortable building the website do you offer help with that?

  Hi there,

  There’s not really much “building” to do on WordPress.com. You go to https://wordpress.com/start and follow the steps, and when you’re done your site is built. From there you can just customize it to make it look the way you want and add your content.

  As for mapping vs transfer, it’s really up to you. If you map the domain to us, you’ll pay us for a plan to connect the domain to your site, and paying GoDaddy to renew the domain itself each year. If you transfer, the domain registration is with us, so you’ll only need to pay one provider.

  But many people also prefer to keep their domain and site separate, so there’s no way that’s “right” or “better” – it all depends on what you need.
