  When using domain mapping, Will my existing domain be displayed online or will a wordpress generated domain apear online?

  If you purchase an upgraded WordPress.com plan then you can map a domain you already own. That will display that domain address at your WordPress.com website rather than the current address ending in .wordpress.com.
