  Hi I’m trying to start a website but it wont let me skip buying a domain, but I already have domain

  Hi there,

  Buying a domain is not the only option on the domains step.

  You can also choose to connect a domain you already own, or if you just type a key word in the search box, rather than a full domain, you’ll also have the option to select a free WordPress.com subdomain to start with, and then add your domain later.
