  Hi, my blog is registered with a personal plan previously and the plan has expired. May I know if I can just buy my previous domain without upgrading to a plan? Thanks.

  Hi there,

  You will still need to purchase a plan in order to use your domain with your WordPress.com site. It looks like you canceled your domain subscription before it was eligible for renewal, so you’ll need to re-register it along with a plan.
