  Hello! I recently tried to signup to word press.com I purchased a domain allthingsmelissamonique.com I canceled it because I did it wrong and now I’m trying to sign up to WordPress.org and it’s saying that domain is taken. Do I still own it or was it canceled?

  Hi there,

  I can confirm you have cancelled your upgrade and removed it from your account.  To confirm this, go to your Purchases page here, where you will see it is no longer listed: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

  You can also see any pending refunds here, which take 7-10 days to be returned to your account: https://wordpress.com/me/billing

  Please note that when a domain is cancelled it does go back on sale again, but there is a 5 day delay from the time it is cancelled to the time it can be purchased. During this 5 day “grace period” we are able to recover the domain if you wish. If you need to use your domain now and cannot afford to wait, please let us know.

  Otherwise, you can wait the 5 day grace period out, after which the domain will be available to purchase with any company that sells domains to the public.
