I want to transfer my domain to squarespace. I am following their tutorials and it’s not working because I do not have access via wordpress. If I cancel my subscription, will my domain be available immediately for purchase at squarespace?

Hi there,
Please do not cancel your domain if you want to keep using it at Squarespace. When you cancel your domain, it can take a while for our domain registrar to release it. There’s also no guarantee that it will become available again to register elsewhere.
I went ahead and pointed your domain ctcyoungpeople.com to Squarespace according to their instructions here: http://help.squarespace.com/guides/mapping-a-domain-with-wordpress
You can finish the process by following Step 6 in that guide in your Squarespace account.

Thank you for your help. My problem was that wordpress isn’t giving me the ability to edit the domain as listed in these instructions.

Sorry, I didn’t realize that was the main issue — If you head to Store > My Domains in your site’s dashboard, do you see the “Edit Domain” button there? Please let me know if you have any trouble opening the domain settings on that page.
