  Hi all, I didn’t take up the option to purchase the domain without .wordpress. I now want to take this up but, contrary to what occurred when I first signed up, it says that the domain name is already registered. What’s my next move?

  choose a different name – registering a blog name at WordPress.COM does not guarantee a .com version of the name i.e. aussierulesfootball.wordpress.com does not reserve aussierulesfootball.com for you

  Thanks AC,

  As I understood it the domain was available when I signed up to the .wordpress a few weeks back. Every chance I was mistaken of course, it’s happened once or twice before…
