Domain address issue

After I set up a WordPress account I bought a domain with hostgator and now I’m not sure how to link that here instead of the one I entered the first time. I also think that it set me up another wordpress account but I couldn’t log into it for some reason. Im really confused right now.

Hi there,
To use your domain you bought from Hostgator with your WordPress.com account, first upgrade your WordPress.com site to a paid plan at My Site ->Plans.
Then you can either connect the Hostgator domain to us via our domain mapping upgrade, or you can transfer the domain to us completely so it’s registered with us instead of with Hostgator. Note you’ll need to have owned the domain for at least 60 days to be able to transfer it to us.

I also think that it set me up another wordpress account but I couldn’t log into it for some reason.
Do you have an email address, username or site address that we can use to look up the other account in our system? Without one of those three pieces of information we have no way of helping with that.

I was finally able to get into my host account. I just need to know if I can delete the wordpress free account that I still have without is messing up my paid account. Even though they both are using the same email address.
