Domain administration

  Hi:
  My domain name is currently hosted by the WordPress nameservers. I have deleted my WordPress site and want to transfer the domain to another host, but I cannot get to the domain admin page because I do not have a WordPress site. Can you tell me how to proceed? Thanks.

  Hello there, In order to administer a domain, you’ll need to register a new WPcom site and then come back to this forum thread and indicate both the Custom domain name and the new WPcom site it should be attached to.

  Once you’ve done that, add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar to alert this thread for Staff assistance.

  Thanks for the response. I have created a new wordpress site under jeritemp.wordpress.com. My custom domain is jerikelly.com

  Hi jerikelly,

  want to transfer the domain to another host, but I cannot get to the domain admin page because I do not have a WordPress site.

  jerikelly.com was registered through GoDaddy, so you will need to login to your account there in order to transfer the domain to another registrar. Once you are logged into your GoDaddy account, the name servers can be pointed to your new host (instead of WordPress.com).

  It’s only possible to transfer a domain from your WordPress.com account if it was registered through us :)
