Domain and hosting service purchases

    I am trying to make a website for a business that I recently started. I understand that 2.99 plan includes the domain name (and this means that whenever people type in http://www.domainname.com they will be directed to my website right?). I was wondering how to purchase a hosting service or if that is even needed?

    If someone could layout brief step by step instructions on how to initially start in reference to domain names and hosting services, I would really appreciate it!

    On WordPress.com hosting is free, with 3GB media storage, unlimited storage for posts and pages, and unlimited bandwidth.

    Purchasing a plan only adds additional features to your site, like adding a custom domain.

    First, you’ll need a WordPress.com site, like you already have at http://traveltimetours110.wordpress.com/. Go to My Site ->Plans and purchase a plan for the site. Then go to My Site ->Domains to connect your domain via the domain mapping upgrade:
