Domain and upgrading

  Hi! I first created a domain with blue host but later canceled it due to confusion with their site. I successfully canceled yet when i tried to use the domain on wordpress, it said it was taken. I proceeded to create a domain including the wordpress name (free). Im intreated in upgrading only if i can change my domain to what i originally wanted…please help! Thank you

  Hi there,

  If you cancelled the domain with Bluehost they most likely still haven’t released it. Cancelled domains don’t become available immediately, and depending on the specific registrar’s policy it can take anything from 5 days to more than a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again.

  Until Bluehost releases the domain you won’t be able to register it here, but if you can still restore it on their end you can map it here instead. I see you’ve already added the domain mapping upgrade to your account on our end. You can read here how that upgrade works:
