Domain Availability

  Hi,

  I was trying to purchase sly.blog through WordPress.com but it says the domain is already taken.

  The site doesn’t resolve and there doesn’t seem to be any information about the domain being registered in any WHOIS lookups and the DNS points to nominet.org.uk

  Is this an error or is the domain not available?

  A Whois shows this:

  sly.blog is already registered*
  This domain name has been reserved for policy reasons, and is not available for registration.

  Thanks for the reply.

  The WHOIS lookup I’d used didn’t return that. What is the policy reason?
