Domain Availability after canceling

  I recently purchased a domain and due to some reason I canceled the order and got refunded. How much time does it take to become available? I have seen that domain is not listed. Instead it’s showing ‘This domain already mapped to a WordPress.com site.’

  Hi there,

  The domain will be released within a week and you’ll be able to register it again through another registrar.

  Please note that if you want to use the domain here on WordPress.com, I can send you a link to pay for the domain only and then restore it. But keep in mind in that case it will only redirect to your free WordPress.com address. To actually have the domain be what people see when they view your site, you will need a plan.
