domain cancellation

  Hi! Sorry, was wandering if I could get my domain name back. I cancelled it because I I tried to get it on Wix, but their plan was super misleading and didn’t realise I had to buy a year plan with them to get a free domain name. I cancelled because I oculdn’t work out how to transfer it to Wix, but think I found out now. When I go to the domain it says it the domain is parked. The domain is daysofartiquity.com. I haven’t got a refund for the domain name which I understand, just wandering if I could get it back though, I cancelled it today.

  I cancelled because I oculdn’t work out how to transfer it to Wix, but think I found out now.

  Cancelling a domain means giving up ownership, so it’s only something we recommend doing if it won’t be needed again in the future. The good news is, I’ve been able to restore daysofartiquity.com back to your site:

  https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/sketchpast.wordpress.com

  There are two options for using the domain on Wix:

  1. Keep the domain registered with WordPress.com and point it to your new site on Wix by changing the name servers.
  2. Transfer the domain to Wix and renew it through them going forward — the domain will need to be active (not cancelled) on your account in order for the transfer process to complete.
