  I do not want wordpress domain, I have my own. I want to replace wordpress site with my own domain.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi –

  There’s 2 options to connect your domain. The free one, is going to stay in place on the account. It’s what anchors that domain to WordPress.com. No worries though, only you and us (staff) can see it on the back end. Folks coming to your site are going to see the custom domain once you have it set up.

  Option 1 is domain mapping:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Option 2 is domain transfer:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Neither one of those is permanent and you can change at any time. They are both included with the plans.
