Domain Change
-
Hi there, I previously had an account shared with a partner. I would like to keep and continue accessing that content, but I would like to remove their name from the domain name. I found the place to change the domain name. It indicated that the change to the new domain name would be permanent and irreversible, but what I am unsure of is whether or not I will be able to access and view the posts created under the currently existing domain name. So, to clarify, will I be able to access my previous content if I change the domain to a newly chosen one? I don’t want to loose the content I created. Please advise.

Hi there,
Changing a site address won’t affect your content in any way. Your site will not change in any way, except that you’ll now access it at a different address.

I have a similar question. I did not create the account, but I have been the sole contributor of the content. I would like to retain the content, but I would like to have sole access to my written work. Is that possible?

Are you speaking of theparadoxicalwordsmithorg.wordpress.com?
You only have an author-role on that site, and aren’t an admin nor the site owner.
If you no longer want the site owner to have access to those posts, you’ll need to manually copy-paste them into new posts on a site you do control, and then delete them from that site.
