Domain conflict

  I already own a domain from another service I’m planning on dropping when the subscription runs out next year. Can I use that domain now and make a whole new portfolio site, or will I have to wait until my domain is freed up by the other provider; or is my domain no longer usable when I cancel my membership?

  We do not accept incoming domain transfers, but you could point the domain’s nameservers from your current hosting provider to WordPress.com. Our support page will guide you through the process of pointing your domain’s nameservers to us:
