    purchased my domain on siteground as a wordpress domain do i stillneed to connect my domian

    Hi there,

    A domain has to be connected to a site before it will do anything. Else it’s just a name you own that will take people to a landing page that belongs to your domain provider.

    If you want to use the domain with a site hosted on WordPress.com, you’ll first have to create a WordPress.com site, and then upgrade it to a paid plan so you can add the domain mapping upgrade:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

    Or you can install the open source WordPress software on a hosting account with Siteground and connect the domain there. In that case you’ll have to contact their support to get the correct process.
